Power reference

measured idle
11 W
adapter
135 W

ServeTheHome measured 11–14 W idle on a dual-core Pentium Gold G5400T M720q at 120 V and never saw more than 50 W; its earlier review of a six-core Core i5-8400T unit reported 27 W idle and 68 W at maximum load. The low figure is the low-spec reference, not a guarantee for faster CPUs. M720q adapters are 65, 90 or 135 W (88% efficient); Lenovo's configurator listed the 135 W adapter as required with the I350-T4 PCIe NIC option. The high figure is the largest documented adapter allowance, not measured consumption.
